New Forum Update

Postby alison on Tue Jun 19, 2007 9:27 pm

Oh  were you shocked to see the new layout. :D It is very similar and I am sure that when Sonny has the time he will put my nice frog back on show as well. I hope you like the look of this one and that it will be as easy to use or even better maybe. It has better easier access to what we need to do with it and hope it hasn't disrupted you at all.

Yes, Alison I was startled to say the least. But once I had logged in it seems okay, like home  . Shame there still isn't a spell-check though.

I've noticed on this new board that it tells me who is online at the same time. At least I think that is what it does. In the right-hand corner where the names are now there is a diagonal line across which says "online". On mine anyway. I wonder if it does it on yours also. At least now we will know if someone is also online at the same time but I don't think that there is a chat room in this version.

Yes, I can see your online banner as well.

I did wonder what was going on last night, being the first forum I went to after re-installing windows :?

It displays in GMT so not in our British Summer Time. So it is usually an hour behind even though we have changed them on occasion and it still went back to GMT. :smt101 You just have to remember that when you are reading any posts.

Can the display be made a little narrower, or does it stretch to fit?

It stretches to fit.

As you can now see Alison has her picture back and I have tweaked the colours a bit. Hope your liking it, I may make other little changes as we go on.

Well spotted Sam, I am leaving the facility for now but I may have to prune the pictures on a regular basis if everyone starts using it, it is not a problem using it it's just how large the upload folder gets!

If the pictures were able to be left on for about a month I think that would be grand for most peeps :)

I was thinking along the same lines, however, I will see how it goes, for now I'll leave them and if it becomes an issue we will deal with it then. For now enjoy..

And I will help by (where possible) posting pics that are already uploaded elsewhere and simply link to them :)
