koi problem

I have just been on the gardenweb site and seen a post by simon broome about his sick koi. It lays on it's side and then will swim for a few minutes before resting back on the bottom (on it's side) for about 10 minutes.As no one has answered his question as to what to do and I don't have enough knowledge to answer him, I just wondered if anyone would either answer the question here or go to gardenweb to help him. As we know the gardenweb site is very quiet at the moment so I wasn't sure if anyone would answer him. Thanks everybody.
