Kaz it is great how everything just takes off with a bit of sunshine and watering. It is looking really good. I think now that most is as you want it, you will be feeling a bit calmer about the whole thing. I was busy the other day just clearing back all in the front garden that had either finished flowering or needed pruning. It looks good now and in the gaps that some left after being cut back I have put pots that were on my pathway so the garden still looks full and the postman will be most appreciative that I have uncovered the jungle he had to walk through. :P

You are funny Alison... I bet your postman loves the fragrance of walking up your garden path :D

Sorry about this post, it should've gone in the 'new' gardening section... duh

Sean... are you just a pond guy or do you take an interest in the garden too?

Do you at least cut the lawn for your mum? Or have you taken it all up to fit your 4 ponds in :P

Oh I cut the lawn and the hedges but refuse point blank to touch the garden.

Who dug up the rambling rose I got from you then? or had it fallen into the pond and become your domain. :smt081

That flipping cross hedge... I'd forgotten about that!

Maybe the wilderness beyond needs to be tamed Sean Mckinney... you waiting for Mum to start clearing it?

Lets have some before and after pics then Sean :D. Does your dad have any interest in the garden? Do they get any pleasure from your ponds?

My dad hasnt seen them, he sits on his backside all day long and lets my mum run around like a blue a-rsed fly after him. She is stupid enough to do so, a sore point as you may gather.
