your ponds layout Sean" folks, are you payin attention Kazzie?
Go to http://earth.google.com/ and down load the freebie version, its 12M so probably broadbband or better only sorry. I would save it to somewhere then install it.
When running zoom in to the following co ordinates
54 39 30 04N by 5 54 20 97W thats the fish pond
54 39 29 84N by 5 54 20 40W is the wildlife pond
and the other two run from
54 39 30 01N by 5 54 20 31W to
54 39 30 12N by 5 54 20 38W

2 Hours later........... finally got it working!!! I copied / pasted your co-ordinates and initail format was wrong. Then I had to get Scott's help... once he realised what it could do, it was a case of 'sod Sean's garden... wow, we can zoom in on the vulcan at Southend airport'!!!

Although I finally managed to get Scott to swing towards Belfast, we didn't get the same fine detail for your garden Sean... but we did see it.

What the bomber? Wow, can I have the coordinates. Beautiful aircraft. Isnt there another classic outside one of the aerodromes off the A1 somewhere between Peterborough and Sheffield.

Image

N=neighbour
the yellow blob = where the fish pond is now, the green bush beside the right of the yellow blob is the fuschia that is still beside the pond
The pink blob is the wildlife pond
the white blob is the plant pond and
the turquoise blob is the lily pond

Now why didn't you do that in the first place?  I remember your other neighbours garden being all grass. It looks very well striped. Your gardens are so long and don't they look out on to an estuary or something if my memory serves me right?
I don't even think you need to have the co-ordinates for everything. I think we put in our postcode and got our address up and can see our house. So maybe you can do that for the aircraft site.

Scott did save the co-ordinates Sean, but I can't find them

If you zoom to the Southend on Sea area... then go to Rochford, you should be able to make out the runway. The vulcan is far right. The zoom on it is brilliant (loads better than the garden quality... don't know why). Steve used to be a member of the Vulcan club... he'd go and watch them start it up annually (deafening)... it would blast down the runway but not take off.

Don't know about you Sean, but I've been all over the world with that google earth thing  I'm hooked, everything from the pyramids to ponders' back gardens. Now half my workforce have it too... when I zoomed in on the training centre I saw the the receptionist had nicked my car park space at the time of the shot was taken!!!

Can't get my house though... too rural  I'd love to look at some more gardens, so if anyone fancies PMing their street location etc I'd love trying to find them... zooming in from space is awesome.

Thanks Sean

I looked at the the park in Oslo (visited last year). The detail was fairly good. Reykjavik is a bit blurry... I'd previously tried to find the Pearl (is that what that dome thing is called?).

Where is Sean Mckinney anyway???
