Injured Frogs.

Postby alison on Mon May 12, 2008 12:17 am

We have noticed now that the weather is warmer the frogs are back to basking on the Iris roots. One thing we have noticed is that two of the resident frogs have damaged legs. One frog has no foot and another has no foot or lower leg. Last year we noticed one frog lost his foot and leg probably to an injury caused by another preditor, and watched as he lost more and more flesh etc, but these two recent frogs have no open wounds and are managing quite well to swim without their limbs. I have wondered if the one without the foot and leg could be last years injured one, but of course it is so hard to tell. I was wondering if any of you had these abnormalities with any of your frogs.
