Anyone else NOT got frogspawn yet?

Postby dampflippers on Wed Mar 11, 2009 10:58 am

Has anyone else NOT got frogspawn yet?
I'm getting a bit worried, because last year they laid it 5 and 6 March.
I know Mr Heron visited once, so I hope he hasn't taken any more. When I go out, I see the odd ripple and scrambling down in the pond, but no mad scrambling and arms and legs as there usually is. :(

:( I haven't any yet either damp so don't worry unduly.
Last year I think all the frogs returned earlier than they have this year. The changeable weather isn't helping. One night they are croaking away and the next they are shivering with the cold or have disappeared alltogether. Most of mine haven't returned yet.

You wouldn't want any frogs in your lovely pond with all those fish. My pond was originally for frogs primarily and the fish came second when I realised they didn't stay all year. Not very considerate of them when I made them such a lovely home :D
