Yellow flag Iris

Postby alison on Fri May 30, 2014 1:26 pm

Last year I cut back my Iris in the pond and some fell away into the deep end without any pot and the rest slipped further away from the edge. Well this year it has gone mad too. The ones that slipped into the deepend have done as well as the others not so deep. There are loads of buds ready to spring forth but I actually think they are later this year as they usually flower in May and it is now practically June. I cant wait to see them all in bloom though as it is my best year. Maybe all the rain we have had and the warmer winter made the difference.

They don't last long enough do they. So beautiful in bud as well as in full flower. They are already near the end of their blooming now so soon but they are well worth having. :D
