New birds

Postby alison on Fri May 27, 2011 11:02 am

Over the last few weeks we have seen some lovely new birds in the garden. Sonny found a little coal-tit baby on the drive which he brought in to show us and then put on a branch in the side garden. Then we saw two little goldfinch babes. I have never seen them before so that was lovely. Yesterday I saw an adult thrush. That was brilliant as we haven't had them for quite a few years so it is always lovely to see them.
It has been really nice to see all the young birds being fed by their parents :D
We had a silver birch tree just shoot up in the front garden. It must have taken seed there and has grown into a lovely tree. The sparrows and blue-tits have taken a liking to it so now when I am sitting in my room I can look out into the front garden and see the birds on the tree and also look into the back garden and see all the birds on the bird table and the grass. I am so happy. :D
