This sparrowhawk landed in the garden on sunday afternoon. Sonny had been videoing the sparrows at the bottom of the garden when suddenly they all started chattering so quickly to each other and flying away. Out of the corner of his eye he spied this Sparrowhawk coming down to land. I guess he could have been looking for his lunch. He stayed for a little while just on the edge of the shed and then flew off into the sycamore tree and rested before flying away. He didn't take any of the birds with him It is lovely to see him. He is becoming a regular (well a few times each year) visitor here. It is always lovely to see him. I was impressed with how the sparrows reacted and helped each other.
