Postby whis4ey on Tue Mar 27, 2007 1:31 pm

I have just taken delivery of 5 new Japanese Maples from Esvelds in Holland
They have arrived in reasonable condition and look healthy enough
Beni Gasa
Hemelbrijk
Kinran
Moonfire
Shikage ori Nishiki
You can read about them on Esveld's site

And where are you going to put these ones then Sam????? :smt064 I thought you were stopping with the ones you got last time. :!: Did you buy 6 last time? I am trying to remember. :smt017
I am sure that they are going to be loved just as much as all your others. It would be nice to see a photo of them all when you plant up. You are as bad as I am over my frogs. I love my 2 Japanese Maples though and can't wait for them to get their leaves. In the front garden there is more sun and they bud and leaf a good few weeks before the one in the back garden does which is more in shade.

I planted the first two yesterday
Hemelbrijk (which is the largest one I bought) and Kinran
Planted fairly shallow, and added some leaf mold and a little bone meal to the planting soil, and watered well in
I think they will be fine
Still have to find a spot for the others :)
