Kafir lily

What a lovely plant this has become to me. Tricia sent them to me by post a couple of years ago and I planted them at the back of the pond between the pond and the fence. Nothing happened and I began to think that they had decayed. Then a few weeks ago I suddenly noticed a bright pink colour peeking through pond leaves. They had finally come up and were showing signs of lovely colour. Now that the weather has been so bad over the last weeks with really dark wet days I have really appreciated the 5 little bursts of colour peeking through. It is lovely to know that throughout each season there is always something to appreciate within nature.

Yes, they make a lovely burst of colour round my pond each year. Just about finished now, but to my surprise I noticed just one bloom - in my pot of chives!! It must have seeded itself there - at least 15 feet away from my pond!
