Still no legs!

Postby Big Kid on Sat Dec 16, 2006 5:27 pm

Hi All,

Members of that other wonderful pond site, UKgardenweb, might remember that I had tadpoles that didn't want to grow legs and hop it.

Well, here I am on 16th. December and I still have one lonesome taddy that still has no legs! Is this one for the Guinness Book of Records or what?

Now I have a problem, do I leave him outside or bring him indoors for winter? They were all feeding off the algae on the inside of the pedalbin liner I've had them in. There's also Hornwort and Elodea for oxygenators. I've currently got garden fleece around the bin...daft or what? But hey, I've grown quite attached to him. He's a survivor!

Advice needed, please!
Big Kid. P.S. Happy Christmas to one and all.

I don't know what to say to that, You could bring him in and he might get his legs within days in the heat and then what would you do? Even though saying that they seem to keep them in the U.S. as pets.
I think I might be inclined to leave him where he is and just hope the water in the pedalbin liner doesn't freeze. :smt104
Merry Christmas to you too. :smt114
